If the student passes, they will receive a certificate which will be taken to a DMV field office, where the student will complete an eye exam, take a license picture, and the student’s license will be printed. For this service, students will be taken on an SC DMV-approved route and allowed to complete the road test. The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has determined that we are able to administer the road test to students. Since 2012, Greenville Driving School has been licensed and approved as a Third Party Tester school. In order to test, the person taking the test must have a valid South Carolina beginner’s permit that they have held for longer than 180 days (DMV regulations). We can test anyone who has never been licensed before, regardless of whether or not they complete training with us. Applicants do not have to complete training with our school in order to take the road test with us. We test any student who has never before held a drivers license (per SC DMV regulations). Skills testing (the road test) is offered through our school by appointment.
